This retreat is all about slowing down, taking rest, come to practice yoga, meditate and ultimately stepping away from the business of daily life and responsibilities. Carving out a little time to create space to reconnect with yourself, your body, with nature and ultimately just be. Through our meditation practice and silent walks we will focus on being present in the moment, reconnecting with the beautiful surroundings of the land and sea.
Over this retreat we will connect with ourselves, our bodies, finding balance and cultivating inner peace. We will create a sense of calm, quiet, nourishing our bodies, spirit and soul. There is a part of us that is always at peace and we will use this time to come to that place of peace. This retreat will help to reconnect to our inner quiet and blissful stillness.
Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga, Deep Meditation: The morning practices are warming, invigorating and fun! We will welcome ourselves into the day with a slow deep vinyasa flow practice, moving mindfully to create inner fire, develop strength and improve flexibility while also cultivating a deeper awareness of the body. The aim is to feel strong, open and light in your body; steadier in your being.
The evening practice is also about opening the joints and lengthening the muscles but in a very relaxing way. Eithne will lead a gentle relaxing practice that starts with slow focused movement and develops into a deep restorative practice. This aims to open the joints, calm the mind and the nervous system, allowing the body and mind to let go and sink into deep relaxation.
We will also explore different chanting and Pranayama practices (Yoga breathing meditation) over the course of the week to further settle into a nourishing restorative space, making space for the deep stillness within.

Our architecturally designed building has been lovingly created with your retreat in mind. All the details have been carefully planned and thought out. You will find the most modern heating system, bringing the room to the temperature of your choice. There is a state of the art sound system operated by Bluetooth and our lighting scheme allows for different moods and options.

OUR OWN RESIDENTIAL RETREATS
We run our own courses with our resident teacher, Michelle Riordan who has been teaching yoga full time for over 10 years. We also have a fantastic team of experienced teachers and therapists who also run residential retreats.

RUN YOUR OWN RETREAT
We also hire our retreat centre to teachers and groups wishing to run their own programs and we provide the space, accommodation, meals and hosting. For details on this please email info@cliffsofmoherretreat.com for our information pack.
WHAT WE DON’T OFFER
-We are not a hotel and while we have parallel standards of comfort we do not offer the same services.
-The rooms are not turned down nor are they serviced during your stay.
-We are not open for people to drop in, retreats are private and we respect the space people need to really relax and unwind. If you wish to come and see us or to view the retreat please get in touch and we can arrange a suitable time when there are no retreats on for you to visit.
-We are a dry facility and while we are happy to recommend some great local pubs to sample the local Guinness and traditional music scene, we do not have alcohol on site.
-We do not offer laundry facilities.
-Guests are welcome to help themselves to tea and coffee all weekend and are expected to return their cups to the dishwasher etc.
We provide hand soaps, towels and hair driers in each room.
-We do not provide shower gel, shampoo and conditioner or beach towels. If you wish to swim in the sea please bring a beach towel with you.
We have 14 bedrooms and can sleep up to 30 guests. All our rooms are en-suite apart from 2 rooms which share a large bathroom which also has a bath. The rooms are all tastefully decorated with comfortable mattresses and Egyptian cotton linen.
All the rooms have views, whether that is sea-views or countryside views. The rooms are all twin-share with 4 rooms that can convert into a Queen size bed for couples. Some of these rooms are available to use for single use.
Please note priority of sea-view rooms is given to twin share use. There is storage, shelf and hanging and each room comes equipped with towels and a hair-drier.
We will start the morning in stillness, sitting in the warmth of the studio as the day begins. After a warming breakfast we will head out for a walk to fill us with energy. After that we will spend 2 hours in our stunning studio, working through the body to release tensions and tightness’s and finding our natural rhythm.
Free time after lunch to explore and discover the area or sit with a book and doze off. We meet again for evening yoga where we allow the cycle of the day to complete with a slow, restorative class to relax and ground us again. This retreat is for anyone who wants to use this peaceful of year to tune in and find inspiration.

Check-in is at 5pm..
We will be preparing the retreat centre at that time and if a group checked out that day your room will be not be ready if you are arriving very early. We recommend getting the taxi to drop off your bags and then taking you into Lahinch. We are isolated and there isn’t anywhere to get lunch but Lahinch has cafes, restaurants, shops and a lovely beach. Your taxi can arrange to collect you again later.
We have wifi for guests in our media room, a comfortable room to read, relax and get online if you want to.
We can pair you with someone of the same gender.

To secure a place on one of our retreats we require a deposit of 30% to secure the place. We cannot hold places until the deposit is paid. The remaining payment can be paid with a card upon arrival at the retreat.
